Proposal to Paycheck

Project and client success starts with your first proposal.

Let's Get Paid

Completing projects is hard.

As freelancers, we sell, we create, we manage, we bill and we get paid (sometimes).

Usually, it takes time and experience to figure it all out.

That's why we made proposal to paycheck. Our gift to all freelancers. A fail-safe system for finishing projects.

Let's get into it.

It's Maddening 🤬

As a freelancer, you play every role.

It's easier to understand if we group everything.

Three basic phases: Proposal, Contract, and Paycheck.

Isn't that better?

Here is how you build a perfect project:

Paycheck

Production, Revision, and Finalization

Do you like to get paid?

To get a paycheck, a lot of stuff has to happen.

It's actually kind of insane. One person shouldn't have to do all this, or play all of these roles. But here we are.

We worked to bring an end to this nightmare. A system that helps organize the chaos.

Something amazing happens when it's all connected.

Keep that in mind.

Paycheck

To get paid, you're doing a lot:

Project Management
Tasks
To Do's
Status Updates
Checklists
Client Communication
Meetings
Deadlines
Milestones
Document Creation
Attachments
Emails
Proofs
Revisions
Reminders
Budgeting
Time Tracking
Approvals
Changes

Contract

Terms, Scope, and Signature

The dreaded contract.

Some freelancers go without them. Some say you don't even need them (that's crazy talk).

If you want to get burnt out, or don't like getting paid – then you can skip the contract. We don't recommend it.

A contract is clarity.

It doesn't have to be complicated. Contracts and agreements can be simple. And it keeps all sides accountable.

  • Agree on the project
  • Sign a contract
  • Do the work
  • Get paid

Contract

A contract requires:

Research
Project Clarity
Meetings
Solutions
Project Overview
Deliverables
Pricing
Payment Schedule
Estimates
Timelines
Finalized Pricing
Budget
Contract
Agreements
Terms
Outlines
Presentations
Esignature

Proposal

Plan, Prospecting, and Quotes

The proposal is the key.

This was our original breakthrough moment.

If your proposals are weak, your project, contract and work will follow with it.

So we made proposals a powerhouse.

Proposals that incorporate every element of each phase, right from the start.

Hint: It's clever organization.

Combine organization with a really smart system, you'll win projects and get paid, every time.

Proposal

Everything starts with the proposal:

Client Needs
Follow Up
Due Dilligence
Prospecting
Meetings
Solutions
Project Overview
Deliverables
Pricing Options
Estimates
Audience
Benefits
Purposes
Budget
Risks
Evaluation

A One Minute Proposal?

It is possible.

The LokCRM project builder takes everything into consideration right from the start.

Through tireless work, we've managed to roll it all into one tool that makes project creation a snap.

When you start a proposal you're already working on every phase simultaneously.
